Riitaoja at Lepakkomies no 3: “Hengitän.”

This is one of my favorite songs we’ve done so far.

Riitaoja live at Lepakkomies: “Lusimaan.” All three videos shot by Anna Veltheim.

“Pelkäätkö pimeää” and “Nukahdan kesken ilmalennon” from last night’s Riitaoja show! More to come.

First Two Songs from Riitaoja album "Mantereelle"

I’ve been hiding out, singing in a wonderful Finnish band called Riitaoja for the past few months, and we’re about to emerge from the darkness of the collective unconscious into the world with a full-length album called “Mantereelle,” out on Svart Records in April. Rumba just posted two songs for your listening pleasure, “Vähän matkaa vielä,” sung by me, and “Mantereelle,” sung by my brilliant colleague Janne Westerlund (of Circle, Sweetheart, and a host of other great bands). Listen to them here.

Oh yeah. This album has two singers. Why don’t people do that more often?

Our first show will be at Lepakkomies in Helsinki, on March 7th.
